For the school year of 2018-2019 we had 2 community college graduates, 2 university graduates, 1 Masters Graduate, and we currently have over 30 students attending college!

ACE Scholars 

 

ACE Scholars is a support program for former foster youth who were enrolled at Imperial Valley College. The program is a partnership between IVC EOPS, Social Services and IVROP. Burton Book Fund 

Imperial Valley College students enrolled in 9 or more units can apply for this scholarship.

The New Student Checklist contains several STEPS that will help you begin your IVC career.  It will guide you through the enrollment process and make sure you are ready for the first day of classes.

 

STEP 1: COMPLETE APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION

  • Apply online at OpenCCCApply (To create an account you must have an email address)

  • The most important item on the application is to use your correct social security number

  • After your online application is received and processed, an e-mail will be sent informing you of your admission status or requesting additional information, if needed

  • Once application is accepted, you will receive your IVC Student ID (G) number via email

STEP 2: ASSESSMENT TEST

  • The ACCUPLACER Placement test is available at the Assessment Center (Bldg. 400, room 401)

  • NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY; however, you MUST arrive during testing hours to allow enough time to complete all tests. Click on link to view the ACCUPLACER Schedule

  • Full Assessments include language (reading and writing) and math

  • The ACCUPLACER Placement test is not timed, most students take 2 to 2 1/2 hours to complete all tests

  • You MUST bring a valid photo ID card and have an IVC Student ID (G) number

STEP 3: ONLINE ORIENTATION

  • Click on link to complete the Online Orientation. Input your First Name, Last Name, Student ID, and current Term. Then click on ENTER DO NOT ENTER AS GUEST

 

STEP 4: COUNSELING & EDUCATIONAL PLANNING​ EOPS

  • Go see Jose Plasencia (EOPS Counselor). He is located at the Counseling Center in building 100. His phone number is (760) 355-6272.

  • To enroll in EOPS or if you have questions please call 760-337-3096 or contact the IVC EOPS office at  (760) 355-6407. Services are also available for high school seniors. Click here to view flyer.

STEP 6: Priority Registration

 

STEP 7: REGISTER FOR CLASSES

  • Login to your WebSTAR account to register for classes. During Priority and Late Registration you may register online seven days a week

  • Login to your Student Portal  to view your registration date and time

  • Acess your WebSTAR to view and print your class schedule

 

STEP 8: PAY FEES

 

STEP 9: BUY BOOKS-Burton Book Fund

  • You may purchase your textbooks at the IVC Bookstore or online at IVC Bookstore

  • Any questions contact the IVC Bookstore (Bldg. 1900) at (760) 355-6394 

  • Burton Book Fund - Imperial Valley College students enrolled in 9 or more units can apply for this scholarship. Click here to fill out application. 

  • EOPS can provide you with book store gift cards to help you buy books. 

 

STEP 10: GO TO CLASS  

  • You MUST attend the first meeting of each class or you will be DROPPED.

  • You have 2 weeks to decide if you want to keep or drop the class without getting a W or F on transcript.
